Dr. Dov J Berkowitz | Hello everyone out there on the World Wide Web. This is Joshua Goodlow and in this post I want to share something with you that is near and dear to my heart. In this article, I wish to share with you why I personally believe that your body is your temple.
Before we get started, let me just make this one clear distinction. I believe that 90 percent of who you are, is invisible. I believe that who we see on the inside and who we see when we look in the mirror is just the tip of the iceberg. We are more than who and what we see on the outside. We are more that the physical body that we see on a daily basis. I believe that our body is something like a living, breathing space suit that exists in this physical reality. I also believe that our bodies are here to take care of us and to help us navigate through this physical reality. Therefore, we are here to take care of it. Without further adieu, I want to share with you as to why I believe that your body is your temple.
Dr. Dov J Berkowitz | I believe that our body is our temple, because it holds something that is so precious and so powerful. That precious and powerful element is called our soul. It is our soul that makes us who we are. It is our soul that is that invisible portion of our essence that is the real source of power for all of us. I believe that physical training and exercise has the power and potential to make that part of us stronger.
Health and physical fitness makes the body stronger. It makes your foundation of that temple stronger. With a stronger foundation, any architect or builder can build a bigger, more elaborate, grander building. Engaging in physical fitness makes the body stronger. When we eat the right foods, we make the body stronger. When we look at the body as a sacred temple, we become more conscious of what we put into that body.
Just imagine your home. Would you let just anyone come into your home? If someone tells you that they were going to come into your home to rob you of your possessions, would you let that person come into you home? Would you let someone with a big bag of trash go into your house and throw it all over the place? I am sure that any rational person would say no to this question, even if their house were a complete messed and trashed already.
Dr. Dov J Berkowitz | Therefore, it is best that we do not put junk and trash into our bodies on a daily basis. In order to keep our temple strong and pure we must but the best ingredients and best nutrition inside of us for the best health as possible.
